Moonstones is a local community group supporting individuals and family units who have had to flee domestic abuse. We offer care packages, which comprise of the basis household items needed when being placed in temporary accommodation.
Moonstones is looking for a Treasurer to support the chair, trustees and committee.
A Treasurer plays a key role in all aspects of running a charity, including securing funding, managing finances, maintaining compliance, and delivering effective services.
Things you may be involved in include:
- Liaise with relevant staff, committee members or volunteers.
- Make fellow committee members aware of the financial reports (balance sheets, cash flow, fundraising bids / performance).
- Oversee the production of the annual budget.
- Ensure proper records are kept and financial procedures and controls are in place.
Administrator
• Update policies and procedures, manage spreadsheets
• Organise merchandise and manage the Amazon wish list
• Manage referral forms, update spreadsheet and Google drive
• Create ads for volunteer roles
• Manage volunteers contact details
• Support with events and fundraising content and advertising.
Ad-hoc volunteers
We are looking for ad-hoc volunteers who can support our work in the community.
The role would involve supporting the board of trustees by advertising the charity, supporting with shopping and collections and advocating at events. These tasks can be done flexibly to work around your life and commitments.
The role
• Collect items for bundles from click and collect or local shops
• Deliver bundles
• Support with the preparation of packages / bundles
• Attending events to advocate
• Advocate within the community and spread the word about moonstones
